Car has been diagnosed as multiple mis fires. However kwik fit would not supply me with any fault codes. They recommended that that I replaces the coil pack as sagem coil packs are likely to brake. However, I have just checked the coil pack and its the recommended elecrifil one that they want to replace it with! very confused now. Can anyone let me know how likely it is that my electrifil coil pack has gone??

without getting a proper diagnostic it will be impossible to say...ive also heard coil packs going is a common thing.
your best bet is put your money back in your wallet. contact a local member on here with planet or pay your local peugeot dealership a visit and get a full diag done. cheapest by far is finding a member. if you check through other threads and find "bettyswollocks" he has a link in his sig with a list of people willing...once you have found someone, start a new thread with FAO "username"...or PM them if you have enough posts. this in the long run will save you throwing money at parts that might not even be at fault. i can remember when i first got my 307, i got told my coilpack went, got that replaced under warrenty...still had random misfires, so yet again replaced coil pack and sparks under warrenty. turned out in the long run the timing belt pulley was on too tight and was degrading. hope some of this info helps

thanks for reply. So just replaced all spark plugs as they looking like original ones. Car has only done 35000 miles and has had regular service. very surprised that an electrifil coil pack has gone on the car from the information I have read. I have read that sagem ones break ALOT but nothing about electrifil ones breaking. So do you think that even though its the recommend coil pack it still could be broke? Do you know what the chances of it being an injector that's gone? thanks

Good old kwik fit.......???!!!!
Right finally heard back from kwik fit, they told me the fault code that came back from diagnositc was P1336, any ideas what this means and how to fix it? Thinking just to put coil pack in and hope for the best |

p1336 - Crank/Cam sensor range/performance
S2000PM1/2 - High misfire on several cylinders this is quoted "For TU5jp4 with ME7.4.5., check for Compression faults. I have witnessed, on more than one occassion, burnt exhaust valves on cylinder No.2.."
