Advice needed please

Hi all, new to the forums and need a little advice.

I need to know if PP will work with my car and which lead I will need,
It looks the same socket as my last car (mk3 golf) but not sure, as its all
diffrent protocol's.

I just need to check for fault codes as I've a few glitches that need sorting one of them being the stereo forgetting the code but keeping the radio presets which another member also suffers from.

Also my RPM needle jumps up a peg and back again when idle (not often though) my petrol gauge shows full somtimes when its not, and the rear demister light never turns off regardles of temp.

Hoping It's not the ECU

The car is a 1999 peugeot 206 1.6 Roland Garros.

Any help/advice would be great.
