Unhappy 206CC Diesel PLEASE HELP ME

Hi
I have just bought a 1.6 Diesel 206CC and the orange warning light that looks like an engine has come on, it also states on the dash read out that there is a pollution fault. Do diesels have Cats? and if so is it a dealer repair job??

Ta

if it showed "anti-pollution fault" that means a generic fault. you will need to get it hooked up to peugeot planet/diagbox to get the fault. typical code readers wont work.

you can find the planet/diagbox at your local dealer and pay ££'s or find a member on here local to you who has one and will cost beer tokens

chances are you have the DPF/FAP fault.

basically its a pain in the arse fault.

you can search loads on it dpf stands for Diesel Particulate Filter. its pretty much a diesel only CAT. FAP is just the french version/wording for it.

it costs a small fortune to fix. bettyswollocks will no doubt come here and say "get it removed and your vehicle remapped" which does work.

theres tons of resources on here about it, check it all out using the "search" button
