206 Warning light

Hi folks, for my sins i bought a 2003 206 1.4 HDI cat c damaged, it had been repaired (sort of, but good enough for me ) i only wanted a cheap runaround , 71000 miles no history, i replaced the cambelt, oil filter and oil as a matter of course, got it VIC and MOT'eD and away i went, well pleased it runs great no noises or nasty surprises. 350 miles later the engine management light has come on. All fluids are ok, no noises, i can't see anything amiss, please can anyone point me in the right direction to sorting it, thanks in advance from a peugeot newbie.
