206 rear light problem

Hi all 206 owners.

I have a 2000 GTI 206 but i seem to be having problems gettimg the rear lights to work.
The rear left light wont come on and nor will my reverse lights.indicators work and rear right light functions.
Iv changed bulbs.that didnt work.i even replaced the entire left light unit but still its not working.since this has happend i now cant get the front left sidelight working either.
iv had 4 206s now over the years but only ever had the usual rear right light problem .never the left.
If anyone can help me with this problem.it would be much appreciated.
Im very familiar with my way around a 206 as iv allways modified these cars but this problem is doing my head in

You need to get a mate with you so that you can test for voltage on the terminals when the brake is pressed and the lights etc are switched on.
