Can anyone please help, I have a very loud rattle on my W reg, 206 HDI when in tickover. If I press accelerator & take to 1000 rpm, it stops rattling. The car runs great, no noise or loss of power or rattles when running over 1000rpm, . I've had suggestions its the crank pulley but if thats the case would I have the rattle when running
.?? Several years ago I had a car with a simlar rattle & it turned out to be the exhaust heat sheild rattling but I can't see anything that could cause this on the 206. Any ideas....Thanks

Could well be the crank pulley. They're a 2 part setup bonded together with rubber.
Bit hard to diagnose over the internet really! |
