Default 206 gti squeeking at the rear

Hi all. I am new to the site and bought a 'W' plate 206 gti 2.0. After driving it home and around or a couple of days, I have noticed quite a loud squeeking from the rear of the car. It can be heard inside and out side of the car. When sationary and you bounce the car at the rear, you can hear the squeeking as if it was rear suspension. I dont know a lot about peugeots but I have been told they have rear torsion bars instead of springs. Does anyone have any idea as to what the squeeking is? I have been told that the rear axles go on these. The car also feels a bit uneasy when turning left at speed. feels as if the back end has no grip????

Check the handbrake cables under the car first , move everything that moves underneath to see if you can replicate the noise
