206 GTI HDI 1.6 Cutting out pls help

Hi guys, i've got a problem with our 206 1.6 hdi hopefully someone can help.

The car was working fine then after a 15min trip it all went wrong

. First off it would just about start but as soon as i try to accelerate it would cut out and everything would go crazy ie clock needles drop, head lights flash on, the air bag warning lights come on, and it reset the clock date ect.

Its also had a couple of messages come up, immob fault, airbag fault, antipolution fault, dpf blocked but always different. I've tried googling the problem but cant find anything.

i've tried a new battery but made no difference. its now stuck at my parents and im not sure where to start with it, any help would be great

I would start by checking earthing points.

Thanks for the advice

I checked the earth strap from battery to gearbox and I could see it was broken where it splits off to the chasis, so I put a new terminal on the end and it worked a treat and is running fine
