Default 206 Door Seal Leaking

Both my mother and I have a 5 door 206, mine is 2000 and my mothers is a 2003, we've both had them about 8 months with no problems until all of a sudden within a couple of days of each other they both had huge puddles of rain water in the driver side.

I figured out that both cars are leaking in exactly the same place, at the bottom of the door seal, nearer the fron of the door, looks as though the water is running down past the hinges, runs down the edge of the door but gets inside the seal where the water then runs into the car.

I know some people say about the membrane inside the door being damaged but to me it doesn't look this way and surely the doors don't fill up with water.?.

The seals on both cars look fine, no damage or wear, are there any ways to solve this, will they need a new door seal?

Check for leaves below window blocking drain holes , membrane on door can go , get the hose out on a dry day if we get one , sit someone inside an soak outside , (maybe good idea if you sit inside)watch for leak.

I've done the hose thing and can see it leaking into the car, why would the membrane affect it? As I said previously, surely the doors don't fill with water.

You`ll need door card off then , it can`t just start coming through were hinge is , it must be travelling to that point , you need to find entry point.

OK I'll try that tomorrow and hopefully I'll see exactly where it's coming in.

Right, I took off the door card and the water is leaking into the door and dripping through the bottom of the membrane.

Can't see exactly where water is coming in but I'm sure it's by the mirror somewhere.

I will replace the membrane but should water be coming in by the mirror? I'll take off the mirror for a look but will just replacing the membrane sort it? I'm thinking of water getting to the electrics.
