Default 206 airbag lights both on

Hi was wondering if anyone can help?!
I have both airbag lights on. The car is a 206 S 5dr 2005 1.4 petrol. I bought it from a salvage yard, changed the seat belt pretensioners and drivers and passengers airbags and got the airbag ECU reset (to remove crash data). The lights went out and all was good. After a few weeks before the MOT I took the steering wheel off to align it. Since then I have had the problem.

Planet 2000 shows faults:

"permanent fault passenger airbag deactivation" and
"remote permanent fault. VAN network".

I have since done the following:
1. Changed COMMS 2000 coil > same faults

2. Changed COMMS 2000 > same faults

3. Changed drivers airbag > same faults (when disconnecting getting open circuit fault)

4. Changed passenger airbag > same faults (when disconnecting getting open circuit fault)

5. Checked seat belt pretensioner connections > same faults (when disconnecting getting open circuit fault)

6. Checked continuity of all the above connections > all ok

7. Changed the airbag ECU for one exactly the same > same faults (when put back in donor car – no faults)

8. Tested the airbag ECU in donor car (with the same ECU type) > No faults

Needless to say I'm stumped! I tried to check the connectors under the seats as this seems to be a common thing in these forums, but there aren't any?? Are these connectors only for the CC's and Sports etc with seat airbags fitted?

Any help/ advice much appreciated.

Bob

Can you test the deactivation switch with Planet - the one you turn with your key when you put a child seat in the front passenger seat.

Thanks for your speedy reply Gibbo. Not sure how to test switch but tried deactivating which didn't work. Tried changing switch which also didn't work
