Hello all
![]() Last night i have a problem with my peugeot 206 1.4 LX 1998 Petrol, i was driving along fine no problems previously, but last night it just cut out on me didnt evan idle just went flat. from the point of taking my key out as soon as it died i didnt try starting it as the way it died it could of been cambelt or something simalar but its not mechanical its a electrical fault. i will explain two faults of the car!. Please note that i have lost all indercator's and front and rear lights including central locking!!! Without the key in the ignition and the lights switched on! >with the light switch on the handbrake light and engine management light repeats a fast flash on and off also the radio and the rear heater light on the dash also flash's very fast. with the light switch off it will not flash but the engine light and handbrake light will stay on??? the key in ignition on 3rd click just so the dash lights show the engine management light stays on the handbrake light gose out but the batterie light comes on? dose not flash or go out at any point? if i try to start the car you can hear fuel pump working but it sounds like it starts for about 1sec then dies but this could be a build up of compression .................................................. .................. i have checked the fuse box under the bay with no fuse blown the inside fuse box under the steering wheel had a 20amp fuse blown that come from above the number 28 so i would amagen thats the number i changed with a new 1 didnt blow but no change to the car would be very thankful for any tips, hints, or tricks, any information is better then what i have at the moment thank you karl french |

Hi
For this to happen it sounds like an earth problem to me.. Most common is the earth cable from the gearbox to the chassis.. Last edited by Clobak; 11-26-2011 at 11:22 PM. |
