Default 206 1.1 stalls when descellerating

Hi all. Daughter's little 206 drives well BUT it has staretd to develop an annoying problem "sometimes". When she drives around and needs to descellerate, the engine stalls and this can happen up a few times on the journey. ....then nothing for a few days..... what do yopu think is wrong. Thanks for your help.

sounds like the idle stepper motor is not working correct. You can try to unscrew it, and clean it.

But the best thing to do, is read for fault codes first.

get the earths checked...especially the one on top of gearbox (davidireland points to that all the time so i would take his advice)

if they are fine, i would go for a diagnostic on the idle valves and sensors
