My 206 1.6 HDi has developed a stutter when pulling away or on a very light throttle. If you try to hold the car at a steady 30mph holding the throttle at the same position the car gradually starts to Kangaroo. It feels almost like the engine is cutting out then re-starting, if you push the throttle further down the car pulls away smoothly with normal power.
I have had the fault codes read and it is coming up with the air flow meter fault. Has anyone had this problem, I dont want to waste a load of money replacing parts that are not required. Cheers Mike |

Hi,
I get this on my 307 1.6 hdi. After reading loads of threads I narrowed it down t the MAF sensor or the EGR valve, have just removed and cleaned the EGR valve so will see if that cures the problem. Try removing the MAF sensor and cleaning it before buying a new one.

Have you got it fixed?
I'm suffering with a similar thing, at start up the car "kangaroos" but put your foot down and it dies. When car is restarted and warmed up it's fine. |

The car seemed to drive much better once the EGR was cleaned out with far less 'kangarooing' ...... but to cut a long story short I ended up buying ad fitting a new EGR valve and cooler anyway. Don't have that 'kangaroo' problem anymore tho
