Default MOT time for Mardi gras

I've got some work to do to my 1994 205 1.8 td
The cv gaitors all need changing, front discs, and a lower ball joint is gone on one side.
Does anyone know of the best place to get these new parts from ? I'm going to do the work myself
Is it true the best thing to do is to just fit new driveshafts?

Any help appreciated thanks

I usually use eurocarparts, gsf or ebay for parts and if not for parts to get an idea of price, you could fit new dshafts it would be quicker and easier but alot more costly I would imagine.

Your best bet is to use motorfactors as mentioned above, ring all your local ones and compare the prices. Not too sure on the drive shafts. Ask them for a price and if cheap you may aswell

Make sure and put new seal on gearbox side if you`re changing that side.

I've just jacked the car up and had a closer look at things. The front tyres have very uneven wear across the tread. They are badly worn on the outsides, half worn in the middle to hardly touched on the insides. They were new 4000mls ago.
One of the steering ball joints needs changing but I cant see any thing else that may have caused it. Maybe it just needs the tracking checked ?

I decided to get the car mot'd 1st.
Failed on front tyres and a numberplate bulb Advisory for driveshaft gaitors.
2 new tyres and tracking is all it took to pass
Another 12 months driving to come from the old girl yet then
