Ok - I may be wrong, and if so - SORRY!
If it is torsion bar same goes really, except its safer, in that there is no spring about to shred your tyre!
I could imagine removing the remains of the old spring can be tricky, but other than that, should not be an expensive job - much as previously mentioned..
If the bar has broken, the car will probably be sitting on its bump stop....hence real low!
