Afternoon all
Hoping the Pug community can give some advice/guidance. My brother has an X-reg 1.1 litre Peugeot 106 which, for the last few months, has been shaking when he drives. Most of his driving is local so it happens at modest speeds of 30/40 mph. He took it to a mechanic who diagnosed and did the following but the problem remains: 1) Throttle body: Cleaned and then replaced 2) Coil pack: One coil pack replaced 3) Spark plugs: All replaced Anyone have any suggestions as to what the problem may be? Also, can anyone recommend a good Peugeot specialist in the Slough, Berkshire area? After spending £200'ish trying to solve the problem my brother is keen to get it sorted particularly as he relies on his car for his job. TIA. |

I am no trained mechanic, but based on your description I wouldn't even of considered the throttle body, plugs or coil pack
![]() How exactly is it shacking? Does the steering wheel vibrate? If so, could by tyres, wheel balance or similar, these should be free to get checked at somewhere like Kwik Fit (if you want to use them). Does is shake on straight driving? Only when cornering etc? |

As above. I'd look for mechanical issues first - buckled wheel (from personal experience), loose engine mounts and so on.
