Default 106 possible alternator issues?

Hi, this is my first post; I think this is the right place for this; sorry if not.

I have been having issues recently with my y reg 1.1 zest 2, primarily surrounding the alternator and battery charge light. I replaced the alternator less than 12 months ago but every couple of months I have found the charge light to flicker while I am driving, so I have tightened the belt more ad has solved the problem for about 1000 miles and then had the same problem. This has lead to 3 alternator belt changes in the space of about 4 months. The latest change however has made it even worse in terms of the charge light flickering on; but I have measured the voltage on the battery before starting the car 12.4V, idle 14.11V, idle with lights 14.0V and idle, light and accelerator 14.11V. I was wondering if anyone else had known of these sort of issues on other similar models or any advice on how to combat this issue.

Thanks

hi, i had a similar issue on my focus, last winter. yeah i know ford, but they use the same engines and tech as peugeot.

anyways my battery light would come on and stay on. so i replaced; the battery (one cell was dead), the alternator, the belt

anyways the light stayed on

so i decided to do a little online research and found there are 3 wires that go from the alternator to the ECU for voltage referance and the ford smart charge system.

anyways one of these wires were snapped and hence was giving me the battery light

maybe this is the same in your car, or maybe the actual connections and earth for the alternator/battery is coming loose.
