106 heater switch

hi guys, first post so if it's in the wrong place sorry.
my daughter has a 106 t reg. the heater only works on flat out (3). how do i get the switch out or access behind the console to check said switch? OR is there a common fault elsewhere that causes this?

can't believe no one out there knows how to get the console off so i can get the switch out.
come on chaps, bit of help please.

bit of a waste of time on this site then. can't believe no one knows how to get a console off! don't worry though i went on the answer bank and got a reply in ten mins.
