106 broken driver seat

Anyone able to advise how to fix the bracket that allows you to adjust the seat position backwards or forwards. The lever is stuck in one position and the bracket is not connected anymore.

best bet is to take the seat out to check how the bracket was connected as it might need to be bolted/welded back on but before you rip the seat out disconnect the battery negative and leave for ten mins to allow the airbag to disarm ( if it has one in the seat ) if not no need to disconnect the battery.

putting the earth wire back on re-arms the airbags.
