106 1.1 X Reg. Keeps Fanning!

Hiya,
I have a very annoying problem with my car.
On cetain journeys the car will fan whenever I turn my engine off.
I spoke to someone about it and hey agreed that it shouldn't fan as much as it does as the coolant should be cooling the engine down.

He suggested that I have my thermostat changed as this could be the problem, so not knowing nothing about cars and wantig to get rid of it I did.

I spent fifty pounds getting it replaced and my car still continues to fan.

It is more annoying than anything as it is very loud and also I am worried that my car will overheat beyond repair.

Any suggestions of what it could be as I cannot afford to keep spending money on it if it isn't going to help.
