keys

i have a 1007 and both my key fobs have split apart i have been wondering if anyone else has had this problem. i have been informed by peugeot customer care manager that i should not drop my keys as it is that what has broken them. i did not drop my keys they broke while turning them in the ignition. im not heavy handed and i did not force them to turn. how come i have been made to feel like i have jumped on them when i have not.
help plaese anyone got any advice on how to deal with them

I think I would go back to my dealer, and assuming the keys dont have evidence of abuse, push harder.

If that does not work, wither try another Pugeot dealer, or, phone Peugeot customer services. Unlike most manufacturers, you can phone and speak to them.

Same for me, glued up the key a couple of times and it kept coming apart.
So I had to go get replacement, new key wasn't cheap.

The keys normaly breaks when to much pressure is applyed when starting or opening doors or filler cap , the correct way is to grasp key tightly on both flat sides with as much fingers and thumb as possible and turn . I do not say that you do not know how but give you the best way to safe your key as every one that drove my car ,even agents mechanic broke my key to the point I refuse that even family members I refuse to give the key to and do now all the unlocking and starting myself ,I had a key broken every 6 months with every one handing the key but sins I do it myself it's been 2 years and key is still strong.
